I count myself very lucky to be living in south Wales, without doubt one of the most picturesque places in the United Kingdom. This historical haven gives me endless opportunities for indulging my passion for landscape photography (which I regard as one of the finest ways to enjoy nature). Many of my images, over the last 20 years, have been pubished in local, national and international booklets, magazines, press and websites. My work covers a variety of subjects (not just landscapes!) - people, events, weddings, family occasions, wildlife, sports and architecture.
The inspirational photographer, Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908 - 2004), widely regarded as one of the greatest photographers of all time, once said:
"To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy."
I've spent many years capturing fleeting moments of reality, had endless hours of enjoyment looking through a viewfinder composing mother natures incredible scenery, then... 'click', stealing that precise moment of light. There are no words to describe the moment when you know the shot is just right, it often makes that 10 mile trek across ankle deep muddy countryside worth the effort!
Two Nikon bodies - D750 and D610.
